Compared with the previous year, the figure grew slightly - by 0.9%. In 2016, sales of these products will increase by 1.3% compared to 2015 and reach 10.62 million tons.
In 2015, China (1.78 million tons), USA (1.51 million tons) and Germany (0.83 million tons) were the leading countries in terms of sales of fasteners, fittings and similar ferrous metal products. The total share of sales in these countries exceeded 39% of the global total.
The world market for fasteners, fittings and similar products from ferrous metals is almost equally represented by imported products and products of domestic production. At the end of 2015, 10.2 million tons of fasteners, fittings and similar products from ferrous metals were produced worldwide, which is 0.7% higher than the value of 2014.
